Seven Doors of Death
E tu vivrai nel terrore! L'aldilà
1 Hour and 27 Minutes (87 Minutes)
"Behind this doorway lie the terrifying and unspeakable secrets of hell. No one who sees it lives to describe it. And you shall live in darkness for all eternity", "The seven dreaded gateways to hell are concealed in seven cursed places... And from the day the gates of hell are opened, the dead will walk the earth".
“The Beyond” begins with an anachronism and a flashback, where a group of peasants guided fierce at hotel Seven Gates residence a heretic and temperamental painter Scweick. The villagers accused him responsible for all the evils occurring in the province, so they decide to torture him and crucify him in the basement of the hotel. What you do not know is the existence of a book (Eibon) at whichever indicated that the hotel is located on one of the 7 gateways of the hell and if someone open this gateway, inadvertently will bring chaos and destruction in the world, and the dead will move freely among the living.
In 1981, 60 years after the Liza, a young girl who has stood quite unlucky in life of an uncle inherits from the hotel 7 Gates in Louisiana. Luck seems to smile for the first time without knowing the guilty secrets of reservation as well as all evils that would follow. The mishaps and deaths windfall as Joe’s plumbing and the worker who worked at the hotel doesn’t seem to affect the protagonist which seeks to open the hotel. The only troubling and puts on some suspicions are 2 staff, Martha and Arthur, who treated somewhat outlandish.
The film has not been performed in America except in cut scenes until 1998 where the usual suspect Tarantino took to show small projections that he was organizing, the pure film to the American public.
The situation changes dramatically when Liza knows Emily a blind girl who stays by her side which tells the whole truth about the hotel as well as for the book and the advise to leave the hotel itself but also those who are around her at risk. From this moment and shortly afterwards when Liza will find the book begins to believe the blind girl and gradually accept that something unreal and diabolical occurs … But John, the doctor and only friend who has done ever since he went to Louisiana did not believe and thinks he has lost her mind because he has never seen nor the blind girl nor the Arthur and Martha. When will finally believe the Liza will already be late. The gate of hell have been opened and the dead move among them. The end seems near and no one can help them. Neither queer Emily can save them.
A film m ‘ intensely religious and ceremonial elements combined with countless blood red ransom from a Director Gore lover something that is Beyond The ‘ features ‘ that promises to shake up and frighten fans of horror movies. A movie that definitely requires strong stomach from viewers. The Gates are open…
All the death scenes … It is really unique and very inspiring …
- When Joe carves the wall to find out where it enters the water and a hand grabs him and pulls the eye.
- The scene at the Hospital where his wife Joe falls to the ground and a container with caustic acid poured on the face of which at first blush after she leaves the skin and finally blood spurting up to make the show the bones of the skull.
- The cult and most famous movie scene where a man falls from a ladder in his library and attacking spiders that bite and tear the flesh.
- Finally the epic Doo live dead at the hospital.

The difference make sure visuals which thus the otherwise famous the Fulci, effects that are in many cases much better than today's. Ultra is also the close-ups that illustrate perfectly the terror and agony of the protagonists.
The big negative is the film's unanswered questions ... For example we do not know if there were in fact the Martha and Arthur. Also our information for the book Ebon ... who wrote what you just said means? Apart from this, the composition of the characters are quite simple without the emphasis on protagonists with terror and gore to steal the show.
