Necropolis: City of the Dead
1 Hour and 17 Minutes (77 Minutes)
Beneath the metropolis is .. Necropolis
Where they love New York to death.
It's the Ghouls night out.
The trash horror flicks of the 80s has given "diamonds" and "diamonds" (the quotes don't come randomly) that today nor funny dares to see the average fan of horror. Talk about bad movies that when you grow as a spectator you wonder "how reasonable sat there and saw this rubbish I then?". In this special category of bad movies and owned the ' Necropolis ' of 1987, a horror/exploitation film chabalediariki that moves around the theme of magic but presenting satanikis through rock attire and aesthetics.
The film begins with shots of the 17th century where the old new Amsterdam (later New York) a bunch of inhabitants kills a devilish witch who sacrificed virgins to maintain in life eternal. The same witch then returns to modern New York 20th century seeking another Virgin to achieve hateful of designs and at the same time "sucking" the lives of unsuspecting citizens, reviving the diabolical sect. A tragic and atalanti team comprising a Negro priest, an indifferent and COP an innocent Virgin "(which eventually becomes and goal of the witch) cooperate in investigating the murders and come into unavoidable conflict with the witch.
The film has no beginning and end with the sloppiness is evident in almost all areas. Direction, script, characters, performances, dialogues etc. moving to amateur levels. However there is the element of "cult" in the image mainly kakia witch project and of demonic minions. The witch has adapted to modern times by adopting new York punk hairdo and Black Rock clothing. The rock culture and reinforced by the engine that drives. The overall look of it turns out wildness and sensuality. But her actions confirm the nature of evil. Specifically it can through magic to affect the minds of victims of inducing them to kill or to commit suicide or to surrender entirely to this to absorb life. The servants of exhibit deformed faces looking like zombies while robes and their hoods give a typical dark and menacing image.
The charming LeeAnn Baker who played the witch has played minor roles in several low budget films (often of sci-fi class) in the 1980s as ' Mutant ' Hunt, "Breeders" and "Galactic Gigolo". Until the late stopped working in cinema.
Despite the general decline that characterizes the "Necropolis", I consider how a totalitarian burying isn't fair especially for those who remain romantic lovers of defective low budget horror. The cult items and some scenes like the anthology classic scene with the witch to display six breasts (!) of whom ceremonially feeding her servants as Artemis of Ephesus evoke excitement but searing memories of another, more dirty and decadent era of the past.
Rubbish? Yes but with style! Lumber? It goes without saying, but than we usually keep our cupboards for a curious reason along with the more useful things. The reason probably lies in the cult figure of the diabolical witch.
- A sensual-ritual dance of the witch to the beginning of the project.
- Alluring punk/rock image of the witch.
- The top scene with the diabolical Witch of servants feeding from six breasts! Talking about the apotheosis of cult!

Alitiki rock aesthetic, decadent cult character, mouth-watering protagonist in place of ' evil ', generally decadent image for a strange reason WINS some Favorites from the tolerant cultakides.
Atalantoi actors, amateur to ridiculous interpretations, weak screenplay, direction of the plate.
