"This Christmas there will be... Misery", "The Tide Has Come", "Paul Sheldon used to write for a living. Now, he's writing to stay alive."
"Misery" is a synonym of absolute psychological terror. It is one of the greatest transfers of Stephen King novel with intelligent and claustrophobic direction, full of suspense and realism. The story remains mostly for his excellent interpretation of Kathy Bates as the psycho nurse Annie Wilkes and manic fan a writer. For his excellent performance in the film won Best Actress Oscar fairly immediate and arguably is one of the most tromaktikoteres female figures in the history of horror cinema.
The author Paul Sheldon loses control of his car during a severe snow storm and after the overthrow of his vehicle on a country road is rescued by a passing nurse. Because of extreme weather conditions and closed roads the nurse the hosts at her house offering first aid. The famous writer happens to be and big nurse's Idol. Under normal conditions the encounter would be a pleasant event for both, but in this case the author waits for an unpleasant surprise. The initially sympathetic Savior turns out disturbed personality and extremely dangerous at the same time. The great passion for the writer's mind by one and the paranoid desire to put him on the right path by his point of view on the other, encourage him to hold hostage the severing from any outside contact. At the same time forcing him to write a novel that would be a best seller in accordance with the ethical standards of a psychopathic nurse.
In India revealed a remake of "Misery" in 2003 titled "Julie Ganapathi '.
This simple theme unfolds with unparalleled mastery in "Misery" by holding the viewer in suspense until the last minute. The duo Kathy Bates – James Caan shows off an incredibly successful chemistry, enviable for many horror movies. The two lead characters performed their roles perfectly with expressive Bates to catch the greatest possible performance and emerges as number one, Virago ready to crush bones with the aggression, the eyebrows and the endless poisonous one-liners. Alterations of behaviour from glykomiliti and caring nurse to paranoid and dangerous vixen masterfully depicts on the screen causing us feelings of pure terror who escalates as the gkazwnei crazy Annie. The side of the poor wretch author conveys convincingly the drama that is experiencing the prostrate and Paul almost throughout the film we experience the torment and anguish of say and we fell victim themselves of Annie. Inevitably obliterated the Richard Farnsworth (The Grey Fox) in the role of sheriff in the region who looks for the lost Paul which by many is considered dead. However, the Farnsworth stands decently filling ideal basic cast of "Misery", with his research to be an interesting interlude when the camera leaves for a little dramatic scenes at Annie's House.
Frankly I find it hard to find flaws in "Misery". It is a sublime masterpiece of 90s and one of the best psychological thriller shot ever. Note that the film version of his book polydiabasmenoy of cherishing himself and Stephen King.
- The agonizing sequences where Paul tries his first attempt out of the room in Annie closed. Along with sweat in the author's head, we sweat from anxiety.
- The monumental, chilling scene Annie breaks their ankles Paul talaipwroy.
- The adventurous finale where the two protagonists become tangled in every sense of the word.

Unique interpretation of Kathy Bates, successful chemistry between the leading twin, truly scary scenario, high amounts of suspense, a sense of claustrophobia and despair, flawless direction.
