The "Maggie" is the definition of unexpected horror movie. Terror we said? Hmm … Perhaps this characterization is a bit tricky as the film the rookie Director Henry Hobson tends to stray from the trails by strenuously courting horror drama but without totally apotinassei the aesthetics of horror.

Undoubtedly the big surprise named Arnold Schwarzenegger. Dear friends of macho action man who loved mainly for his performances in numerous action productions of the past, here shown with a totally different person: this emotional and loving father whose immense love for ' sick ' daughter (Abigail Breslin) is shocking and is the main source of the film's drama.

The duo Arnold SchwarzeneggerAbigail Breslin turns out excellent chemistry as the inseparable pair of father-daughter. Great performances by both actors on a difficult topic. Because the ' Yes it is no easy task to get a popular horror motif as the epidemic of zombies and tweak it in drama.

Horror Trivia

The Arnold Schwarzenegger didn't get franc from his participation in the film because he loved the script and wanted no payment.

There are a few action scenes with Schwarzenegger to collides with zombies (where the result is expected), but the emotional moments outweigh considerably. Generally the "Maggie" is a satisfying blend of drama and horror at rates 70% for the first and 30% for the second (at approximately, of course). Positively judged and non-verbose scriptwriter's attempt to display them infected by the virus "nekrometallaxis" as "patients" who deserve civilized treatment and care and not as nasty sheep on slaughter.

Although not without flaws, "Maggie" deserves the attention of audience horror and of course all fans of big Arnold as it offers a different but palatable version of zombie idiom but also of Schwarzenegger. If you still can't afford anything dramas and crying try your luck elsewhere.
