ΚΡΙΤΙΚΗ

Case: The "House By The Cemetery" focuses on a family who moves into a new home where he once lived a paranoid scientist who conducted horrific experiments. And while the little boy's family begins to communicate with the spirit (;) a former resident, a mortal danger lurks in the basement of the House …

Definitely one of the top moments in the 80s for Lucio Fulci. The Godfather of gore presents a more pithy movie compared with the latest raw, in your face tasks of previous years without abandoning the essential characteristics for which loved (or criticized) by the public-namely the copious gore and detailed scenes of violence. In "House by the Cemetery" by the Italian Director brings together elements from "The Shining" and "The Amityville Horror" and adding its own fixed ideas creates a complete horror film that retains the freshness of until today. Essentially it is the third part of the trilogy "Gates of Hell" along with the "City of the Living Dead ' and ' The Beyond ' (EPIC!).

The case is not original but is characterised by the trivial film haunted house patterns. A family travels in the province to stay in her new home. There are a number of bizarre incidents associated with the tragic past of the House disrupt family life. In "House By The Cemetery" but things are wilder than usual ghost stories. Here flwrikes has no horror stories around the fire or by the fireplace. Here we are dealing with a ruthless, disfigured murderer hiding in the basement of the House in sowing death annoying guests with the most barbaric ways. The father of the family is looking past the House and discovers that it lived once a saltarismenos doctor of Victorian era named Freudstein making dreadful experiments …

The film contains many clichés but surprisingly doesn't bother as much as in other horror films. This maybe due to directorial mastery of Fulci who apart from the ordinary rich blood baths (talking about incredibly realistic effects!) enriches his creation with intense surrealism and Gothic atmosphere blending masterfully reality and imagination. So the cliche pass loose in second place. A bloody bat attack leaves mixed impression and will not paraxeneyomoyn if some found ridiculous.

Horror Trivia

The film's original name was "Freudstein».

Anyway, the movie is certainly worked on many levels, and judging by the earlier works of Fulci seems clearly more mature than the occasional cruelties. The only serious flaw is its slow narrative that can strain slightly until at least to reach the final staggering half hour where high amounts of violence and suspense kept us in our place. The frankestaϊniki form of murderer and the skoylikweides content of the flesh make the events even more rotten! The dark finale is just worthy of his talent Fulci which confirms again that it knows how to make outlandish and otherworldly film with a separate identity. And, of course, could not miss the wonderful, atmospheric and sinister musical theme (here by Walter Rizzotti) than what we wont Italian horror scene.

Lovers of good Fulci (who has a cameo appearance in the film) should not lose the "House by the Cemetery" (and obviously wouldn't have missed!). However, the full this film appeals to a wider audience that appreciates quality horror business in General. "House by the Cemetery" is undoubtedly one of them.

Conclusion

From the greatest and most atmospheric works of Lucio Fulci. The film remains scary despite three decades carries on her back.
