The first Iranian Vampire Western
A man trying to cope with the problems of his personal life and the avenging bampirela men who show disrespect towards women consumed the blood when night comes loose. Soon the lives of the two will meet in desperate streets …
This film had captured the attention of most "looked for" horror together than when screened at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2014. The aesthetics of diversity, and some unprecedented elements such as the use of Iranian language throughout its duration indicated that here we are dealing with something very special. Indeed the "A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night ' is a unique film in many ways distinguished easily from the usual surfeit of horror films of the modern era.
Responsible for this little surprise is the Iranoamerikanida Ana Lily Amirpour who delivers her first long lasting film that comes from making a short film of the same. The long title of the film is largely accurate after what it says, this monitor to a large part of. The young vampire, dressed in striped White shirt and with the burqa as an alternate version of Dracula's Kappa, soylatsarei night in the deserted streets of the city, sometimes intimidating and sometimes sipping the blood of unsuspecting men who demonstrate egregious behavior in the female sex.
On the other hand, the film introduces us and the other protagonist, Arash, a personable but psiloastato new facing debts of drug addict father. The lives of two protagonists cross paths leading to the development of a fuzzy, superficial and strange romantsoy.
The shooting took place not at. .. Of course, Iran – something unthinkable for the style and themes of the film – but in the small American town of Taft, California.
Trying to give the fullest possible picture of the movie, you must refer to the particular direction of Amirpour which specifies resolutely designed identity. The black-and-white photo, prolonged shots of city streets resembling immortal artwork, play with the shadows and the overall artistic excellence betray the arthouse direction deliberately followed. The artistic elements of the film to create a dense atmosphere of despair and darkness that is reinforced by the personal drama of the characters.
The main characters are all of them notable though doesn't speak much. Where I think the movie is in the script after while trying to develop and not only in the artistic part, however it fails to give a tight flow events that will keep you interested. There is no monumental climax in the plot and I think and the outcome doesn't offer anything important.
However, positive valued the varied musical themes of the film. Sometimes travels in the 80s with anebastika disco-pop tracks, sometimes in the 90s with psychedelic trance gkazwmena samples and sometimes sinking sensation in the dismal Wild West of Sergio Leone/Ennio Morricone through similar atmospheric issues. The movie itself is recommended as "first bampiriko Westerns from Iran." Slowly non disagree …

Extremely intelligent and shots within a generally innovative and artistic direction, interesting characters, convincingly depressed atmosphere, fitting (black-and-white) photo with the gloomy climate, remarkable film musical themes.
Loose plot, weak finale, excessive delay in completing certain sequences.
