Flesh Ripped clean to the Bone... And the Blood runs Red...
One of the reasons why the Italian master of horror Dario Argento has established itself as one of the leading creators of the genre film is undoubtedly the existence of "Deep Red". This masterly giallo comes from the mid-' 70s to rock the boat and consolidated as a classic in the field. Inventive, dynamic, mysterious, atmospheric, suspenseful, bloodied, unpredictable … are some words that characterize it and probably say very little about the enormous value.
The film begins with the brutal murder of a parapsychologoy-mediums which previously had sensed the presence of a killer in a Congress making the fatal mistake of the shout, pointing somewhere unspecified in the common. Wrong, tragically wrong after the woman will pay with her life the momentous revelation. However, a musician who was a witness of lethal will join forces with a militant journalist seeking the murderer! In the course of their research will find themselves faced with shocking discoveries. Of course, things are not so Jolly after the attempted murder of musician (pianist, incidentally) by schizophrenic murderer complicates the situation and causing grave concern to him. Victims of the bloodbath that erupts, made any can provide useful information about the unraveling of the case.
After the international success of the next film's horror, Argento Suspiria (1977), "Deep Red" was released in Japan under the title "Suspiria 2" even though it has no simple relationship with "Suspiria" and that dimioyrgthithike two years earlier.
"Deep Red" leverages out ntetektibiko character without loosing in atmospheric horror elements that compose it. I would say that these two are in perfect balance. The amount of blood is sufficient and justified for the kind of film, time and the past of Dario Argento which until then had not been established and the bloodiest horror films is the truth. In my opinion what elevates the movie and gives a special place is the huge, incredible proportions, imaginative idea of Italian Director during the first murder of psychics which is directly linked to the final scene where all is revealed. Really huge cunning this idea and in particular the maestrikos way that directed. I leave you with his mouth open!
Along with the other classic Argento's film (of course I am referring to the insurmountable Suspiria) ' Deep Red ' proudly holds the flag of authentic, quality rocketing horror, where only a few can reach! Well done!
- It is understood that shocking scene during the first murder associated with the revelations of the finale! Is the definition of inventiveness!
- The haunting music of Goblin band that blends perfectly with the style of the film helping to create terrifying atmosphere.
- The scary animated Doll "introduces" a violent murder.

Brilliant script, impeccable filmmaking, wonderful music and eyrimatikotato finale.
The effects of blood might not be so realistic in some scenes but who deals with such details now?
