They exist. They bear the mark of the devil inside them. They may be your neighbors. They may be your wife, husband, sweetheart. They may even be your children. Their time has come.
They cannot be exorcised from the world because their power has grown too strong ...their numbers too many!
Occasional moments of suspense and horror, some artistic shots with beautiful, impressive colorations.
Inability to maintain interest, problematic plot, badly convoluted scenario, messy marriage of imagination and reality, slow pace, ridiculous introduction occult-ritual items, failed using a variety of characters.
My interest for this movie came mainly because I found at several on-line lists with the best giallo ever made. Based on this research, I had created high expectations and reinforced by the inclusion of Sergio Martino to contributors, and in particular in the post of Director, after the Italian has given us some very interesting giallo. After watching the aforementioned giallo, unfortunately the high expectations went walking and can now safely to grab the shovel to bury him without remorse.
In principle the "All The Colors of The Dark" is not a typical giallo from bad direction. There is no traditional figure of the killer who kills his victims one by one while the viewer tries to guess its identity among participants in the cast. Mystery has but of a different kind. The main character is Jane, a smparaliasmeni mentally woman who lost the child she bore in her belly, in a fatal car accident. The Jane tormented by nightmares and weird at the same time besieged by a mysterious galanomati guy with scary look and dark motives. To escape the stranglehold of, pestered a woman gets with the encouragement of a geitonissas into the net a group of Satanists and through active participation in their rituals expects deliverance from suffering. A redemption that proves a Midsummer night's dream as the involvement of the satanistiki Organization intensify its nightmarish of adventures. At the same time, her husband, her sister and her psychologist tries to help but at the risk of their lives.
The film is also known as "Day of the Maniac" and "They're Coming to Get You!".
I do not deny that "All The Colors of The Dark" offers sporadic tromares and some scenes with tension and suspense, but unfortunately few hopelessly stand to save the film from sinking. The few good elements dwarfed by an irritatingly slow, from indifferent and full bangs scenario, the timid direction and katagelastes scenes of rituals. Especially the latter throws the film in low level ftiniarikwn sexploitation/occult movies of bad time and in any way – as much tolerance and if show-may not be viewed seriously. A cruel sacrifice animal causes disgust and uncomfortable feelings. Often in the work undertaken in the baffling fantasy and reality but with completely clumsy way. The variety of characters is left on the shelf after many actors don't get as much as they could from the Director. Feelings of frustration are encircling us for good and make us want to forget this incomplete and giallo procheiroftiagmeno … not even authentic giallo is not. Go for more.
